Achievers Page
Welcome to our achievers page where we will now and in the future share the accomplishments of our members with you. Here you will get to see that although our members have a disability it has in no way stopped them from doing what they love to do. On this page you will find three of our members who have all achieved in sport or gymnastics. We have Brian, Daniel and Sean.
Hi I’m Sean,
I am 11 years old and I love sport! I play football and hurling and I’m in Special Olympics gymnastics and basketball club. I play tennis and golf in the summer and do athletics and swimming with my school St Josephs. I also like dancing and bowling for fun. I have 16 medals, 1 for rugby with Waterford RFC, 1 for hurling with Mooncoin Hurling club, four gold, 1 silver and one bronze medal for gymnastics, rosettes and ribbons too, 3 Munster athletics medals for St Josephs & 5 from school and Mooncoin sports days. I have one for football u -15, we lost 2-1 in the Munster final, my teacher was very pleased because I scored a goal. I really love going to hurling, football and tennis camps in the summer. When I’m at home I love playing my ps3 and x box and playing outside with my friends on the green. I like to play Nintendo on the bus to school with my friends. I like cooking and P.E in school. My favorite music is Black Eyed peas and Bruno Mars. We are going to Dungarvan for another soccer blitz tomorrow. I’m very excited. I support Ireland, Manchester United & Real Madrid Football and Ireland, Munster & All Blacks for Rugby. My heroes are John O Shea, Ronaldo, Rooney and Ronan O’Gara.
Hi I’m Brian
My name is Brian. I live in Co Waterford. I am 22 years old. I love going to town with my friends and going to the movies on Saturdays. I like gymnastics and horse-riding. I go to WIT and Pathfinders. I love music but I was born to dance. This is a photo of me and my cool teacher Trish from WYA. Break a leg!
Hi I’m Daniel
Daniel is almost 12 years old. Soccer and Gaelic football are his passion and he lives for training during school. He’s on the school teams and has scored many a point at matches! Music is a second huge interest for him and Daniel spends much of his time with earphones on, ignoring the rest of us! When the weather’s bad, Dan’s favourite pastime is the cinema.
